I can tell this writer has a sense of humor. All this, you find while Cooper is tripping over whether he's going insane. But he doesn't let it get him down.He continues to visit the glen, so he can get it on with the nymph in the tree. And that's all fine and good. This book is not really smutty, compared to a lot of the NN's I have read. In fact, it's pretty tame then most. Yeah, Cooper goes back for more, over and over again. But at least there wasn't a detailed description of each and every time. In the second chapter, is where you'll find the story unfolding. And for a short read, I didn't expect much of a story. I didn't feel like this book was a gimmick to get me to buy more books, because when it was over, it was over. They do live happily ever after.
Though paranormal's, and immortals have been done to death, I still thought it was an okay read.

A different kind of story but I enjoyed it.
A short little romance, it was very unexpected to me. I hadn't really expected the supernatural characters, especially of different sorts of species. Regardless, it was a decent read.
Branch out and sink your teeth into this delightful romance featuring an alder tree and a werewolf! Rooted in mythology, the story will entwine you in its leafy (but never sappy) tendrils of erotic tension. Trust me, you will never look at a Douglass Fir the same way again. In fact, if you're faint of heart, you may never look at a tree again, period. However, for those of us carved from oak and mahogany and other strong stuff, this vignette will germinate in the soil of our souls and bloom into a verdant forest of enchantment.
It was OK...
It was great to have a nonalpha male as the werewolf. The romance with the dryad is erotic and sensuous.
I never thought of that mix but wow that would be weird because what if the child she had had been able to then into a werewolf but she stuck Toronto a tree because she chose not to abandon her tree. I'd feel had for the kid.so glad she loved him enough to go home with him and abandon the tree.
I enjoyed this short story. Maybe because I love mystical creatures and shifters, and together they made a cute couple. Young and in love. Those night visits were treasured but eventually something had to give. It had the usual almost dying puts everything in perspective but I didn't mind since I like the couple. Cute, short, steamy read.
